This is our favorite go-to sushi place. I'm a big fan of the Rainbow Roll and Josh will always recommend the Dragon Roll. We go so frequently, either to dine-in or take-out, that I'm sure they think we're addicted. Staff is always so kind to us and if only one of us shows up to pick up the food to-go, they ask how the other is doing.
For my out of state friends who enjoy time with kitties, we highly recommend taking the time to check out the Naughty Cat Cafe. It's where we adopted our current furbaby and where we still like to just hang out for a weekend when we have the time and need more than one kitty in our laps.
It may be weird to recommend a barber shop as a place to see, but I've fallen in love with the place over the past couple of years and think everyone should go enjoy the atmosphere and love on the sweet shop dog Olivia. Sierra is my first choice for undercuts, hair dyes, and a good conversation. Stop by and get a new look and don't forget to sign the bathroom wall while you're there!
Only really adding The Rec on here in case you want a place to go play tennis, basketball, baseball, etc. For tennis and baseball, you would need to bring your own equipment, but they have basketballs available for playing indoors. I haven't been inside in a while, but they also used to have a pool table and an art room for molding with clay and painting and such. They have a couple of walking trails: one that is paved beside the playground and one that is a nature trail with a few small ups and downs in the path that runs near the golf course.
If you're interested in hiking and beautiful views, head to Cloudland Canyon. Depending on which entrance you use, you can travel the trail that leads to the beautiful waterfalls or you can enjoy playing Ultimate Frisbee. I think they have an area for fishing and a few mountain bike trails, but please confirm on their site ahead of time. Trails are listed by level of difficulty, so no matter what you should be able to find something you can enjoy! Also, if you wanted to skip the hotel stay and instead just camp, this would be a good place to do it. If you own an RV, they have space available for that as well! You should be able to see on their Find Campsites page where you can book to stay on the property. Fun fact, I was going to propose to Josh here, but it was going to rain on our anniversary so I had to do it three days early elsewhere.
