Masks are not required, but if you feel more comfortable wearing one you may of course do so. We recommend getting at least your first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine before attending.
Smoking is prohibited. There is no smoking or drinking allowed on the church property.
This event is for those 18+, so please make arrangements to leave children at home with a trusted caregiver. There will be no exceptions.
Please refrain from recording video and taking pictures during the ceremony and let our photographer handle it! When the reception comes around, feel free to take photos as long as you do not impede our photographer from doing their job. Overall, this is a time for you to enjoy the moment!
Semi-formal/dressy casual attire. If you wish to bring or wear comfortable shoes for dancing, we won't stop you! We ask that you refrain from wearing red, as that is what the bride will be wearing. White is allowed, though!
March is an unpredictable month in regards to the weather. Comfortable shoes are recommended, an umbrella in case of rain, and something you can put on in case it gets cold. We also encourage guests to bring a bit of cash with them for the Knife Dance at the wedding reception!
The wedding will be catered by a Persian restaurant. You can expect rice, yogurt-based dips, and lots of garlic and saffron. If you have dietary restrictions of certain foods, please get in contact with either the bride or groom to see how we can arrange something for you.
The ceremony is different than what I'm sure most of our guests are accustomed to and we will happily provide info in the wedding programs day of. There will be things to look forward to such as the consent ritual, the knife dance, and the flower petal toss at the end of the reception. Feel free to research it ahead of time or wait and be surprised the day of!
