Heather and Tyler have been together since 2020. Their first date, at Fishbones in Greektown, Tyler impressed Heather with his appetite for seafood. It wasn’t long before Heather was converted into a dog lover, thanks to Tyler’s Australian Cattle Dog, Wrigley. Navigating dating during this time was a bit unusual, but between Heather's schooling at MSU and Tyler's work at the Detroit Tigers, they had a lot of free time to get to know each other. After Heather graduated from Michigan State in 2021, they asked their friends for prayers, and moved out to New Jersey. Navigating the Garden State wasn't easy, but weekends in NYC, Hoboken, and lots of pizza got them through it. When they returned to Michigan in 2023, it wasn't long before they fell in love with the West side. Weekend trips to Lake Michigan made them want to stay forever. In January of 2025, Tyler surprised Heather with a trip to the planetarium and proposed on the Blue Bridge in Grand Rapids.
