It’s so scenic that we’ve taken photos together here multiple times, including for our junior prom and right before the pandemic began! Centennial Park is in a convenient area of Nashville nearby many other attractions and has a beautiful recreation of the ancient Greek Parthenon in the middle.
We’ve enjoyed many trips to Arrington over the years, and the vineyard has been a big part of some of our favorite memories as a couple like our joint high school graduation party and celebrating the groom’s 21st birthday. It’s a beautiful place to picnic, enjoy a bottle of delicious wine, and even catch some of Nashville’s famous live music. Arrive early in the evening to snag a picnic table; otherwise, come prepared with a picnic blanket!
Crockett Park has a paved path that makes for a great walk, run, or bike ride for anyone who wants to get their steps in before we cut the wedding cake! The park also boasts a frisbee golf course, soccer fields, baseball fields, a huge wooden playground, and an amphitheater.
Check to see whether Nashville’s minor league baseball team is playing a game at First Horizon Park while you’re here! The park was built in 2015, the team offers tickets at a wide variety of price points, and take it from us: there’s not a bad seat in the house.
Opryland is a beautiful hotel that lets you enjoy immaculate gardens and fun water fountains all in the comfort of air conditioning! Dine at one of the hotel’s great restaurants and enjoy strolling around before or after your meal. Fun fact: the bride’s parents got married under the hotel’s Crystal Gazebo!
(We've listed the location nearest our wedding venue, but there are also locations all around the city!) The groom’s family used to live just two minutes away from the original Martin’s location in nearby Nolensville. It’s since exploded in popularity and opened many more locations across the South, and you just have to taste it for yourself to know why. It remains one of our “must haves” every time we go home to visit. The groom orders a rack of ribs or brisket with Jack’s Creek sauce, and the bride’s order is a smoked turkey sandwich with Alabama White sauce. Oh, and don’t forget the mac and cheese! Bonus tip: pick up some of their bottled barbeque sauces to take home with you. You’ll regret it if you don’t.
The bride learned of her love for hard cider while studying abroad in England. We love this Nashville cidery not only for its great ciders, but for its delicious food menu and relaxed ambiance too! Kids are welcome, there are board games on the tables, and the cidery also offers an alcohol-free cider option so everyone can partake in the fun.
This recommendation is a gift for making it to the bottom of this page: Mas Tacos is the bride and groom’s absolute favorite place to eat in Nashville. Park on the street, wait in line, and order several tacos on corn tortillas with a side of elote—you’ll thank us later. Our stomachs are literally growling just thinking about it.
