There are many things to do in Monterey/Central Coast and plenty of resources to help you discover them. Below are a few of our favorites! See the Sites at Big Sur/Bixby Creek Bridge

**What is it?** An iconic 60 mile RT drive down the coast in a narrow windy highway with beautiful views and stops. **Where is it?** Small road trip 5-30 miles South on Highway 1 **What does it cost?** Free! (except car rental) **How long will we spend?** 4 hours to full day if stopping to hike and/or eat. P.S. Want another sightseeing option? Check out 17 Mile Drive for a nice coastal tour.

Meet the Sea at the Monterey Bay Aquarium

**What is it?** One of the best aquariums in the world and definitely worth a visit. **Where is it?** Cannery Row is 1 mile NW of town **How much does it cost?** Adults $49.95, Youth $39.95, Child $34.95, Senior $39.95, Four and under free **How long will I spend?** 1 -2 hours P.S. The aquarium is close to the historic downtown! Head out of the pier area and tour the City Hall, Cooper Molera, and other historic locations.

Kayak with Wildlife at Elkhorn Slough

**What is it?** Fantastic easy kayak in a slough sanctuary where you will view Sea Otters, Sea Lions, harbor seals, and over 50 species of birds. **Where is it?** 17 mile drive north on Highway 1. **How much does it cost?** $40pp **How long will I spend?** Recommend reserving and going at 9 am before the winds pick up and allow 3-4 hours. P.S. This is right by Castroville, where most of the world's artichokes come from! We recommend stopping by The Giant Artichoke restaurant after your kayaking trip!

Hike to the Beach at Andrew Molera State Park

**What is it?** Andrew Molera is a somewhat challenging 6 mile hike in Big Sur along coastal bluffs with great vistas. **Where is it?** 25 miles South on Highway 1 **How much does it cost?** Free! **How long will I spend?** Allow at least ½ a day for this outing. P.S. Want more recommendations for walks/hikes? Check out trails at Garappata, Huckleberry Hill, Asilomar, and Point Lobos.

Drink Away at the Hahn Estate

**What is it?** A local vineyard with a casual feel and beautiful grounds. Book a tasting and enjoy! **Where is it?** Enjoy panoramic views of the Santa Lucia Highlands **How much does it cost?** $20pp for wine tasting, $45pp for wine tasting and AV tour. **How long will I spend?** Several hours with the drive and time to relax! P.S. Want beer instead? Try these local breweries: Alvarado Brewery, Dustbowl, Other Brothers, Fieldworks

Eat Oysters at Monterey's Fish House

**What is it?** An Italian seafood place with a classic feel and oysters the size of your face! If you love pasta, try the Sicilian Holiday Pasta for a LOT of delicious food. **Where is it?** Right off Del Monte Beach, a 30 minute walk from downtown along the beach or local path **How much does it cost?** 6 oysters run at around $15 **How long will I spend?** It's definitely the kind of place you want to relax and enjoy -- maybe an hour or two! P.S. Other local favorites to try include fish tacos, fried calamari, local salmon, and Dungeness crab (can you tell we're a seafood family?). This is also a center of agriculture so you can't go wrong with local fruit and vegetables!
