Thank you for joining us to celebrate our wedding. We are beyond lucky to have such a wonderful support system as we enter this new phase of life. In lieu of party favors, we are making donations to two organizations: the Pomeroy Recreation & Rehabilitation Center, where Nick Morris spent many happy days, and ONE DC, in thanks to the city that has become our home.
We can't wait to celebrate our marriage with our loved ones! We are also excited to introduce you to one of the most beautiful places in the world (we're not at all biased): Monterey, California.
We first met as camp counselors at the PJCC day camp, when Margie Rubin told Annie: "You have to talk to Matt Morris!" Annie and Matt shared their first kiss over some gin and tonics at a New Years' party in the Yeater's basement. However, the romance was not quite ready to begin. That would happen five years later, when Matt finally made his move and asked Annie on a date. And the rest is history!
The first time we said "I love you" was after a rooftop dance in Outerbanks, North Carolina. Continuing the trend, we got engaged in this beautiful beach town. Sitting on the water's edge, Annie demanded a selfie. "Matt, pay attention!" "Um...I'm doing this!" And much to Annie's surprise and glee, he asked if she wanted to marry him. After saying yes, we ran back to our bungalow to let everyone know the happy news.
