Nick and Michelle’s story begins like most love stories you read about. You know, at a frat house. Michelle and Nick both attended Rowan University and both joined greek organizations on campus. As fate would have it, their two organizations were paired together as a team in the annual Homecoming competitions in the Fall of 2013. Michelle’s sorority was at Nick’s fraternity house every day throughout homecoming week. Nick first laid eyes on Michelle as she was painting one of the banners for the competitions. He noticed she had painted a Harry Potter lightning bolt on her forehead, which caught his attention as he is also a huge HP nerd himself. They officially met a couple nights later after celebrating winning Homecoming as a team, and Nick walked Michelle home, talking and getting to know eachother along the way. The rest as they say, is history, but there is still so much more that these two have shared together. Their early years together were filled with plenty of college parties, greek formal dances, pumpkin picking, trips to Philly/NYC, and of course Movie Nights. A pivotal moment in their college years was when Nick “lavaliered” Michelle. For those that don’t know, in college Greek-life culture, this is where a fraternity member gives “his Greek letters” to his girlfriend to signify that she is one of the brotherhood, and ahead of the chapter in his eyes. It is a special honor for Greek Life couples. After college, Nick and Michelle moved in together and began the next big chapter of their lives. Michelle got her first teaching job, and Nick began working in Philly. Over the last several years, they have shared many memories together, meeting each other's families, and spending A LOT of time at the beach. Seriously, the two of them practically live on the beach and you’ll always know where to find them on a weekend in the summer. They’ve also established their love of pizza into a sacred tradition of Pizza Fridays. This is their favorite time of the week, watching movies and going to their favorite pizza spots and falling asleep at 10pm because they’re not young anymore. As silly as it all sounds, it has been a vital part of their relationship. They have also grown a love of traveling in their adult years and have enjoyed destinations such as Charleston, SC, Miami, FL, Disney World, Watoga State Park, WV, and most importantly Mountain Lake Lodge (also known as the “Dirty Dancing Hotel”) in Virginia, with many more to come! Michelle and Nick got engaged at Willow Creek Winery, in Cape May, NJ which is one of their favorite summer hangouts. Nick sought the help of Allie (the maid of honor) to pull off the surprise, and it worked! It was a beautiful summer day, but with a chance of rain, and the rain came. Luckily for Nick, it cleared up with enough time for him to pop the question. It wouldn’t be a Nick/Michelle story though if it didn’t have a few mishaps. When Nick proposed, he was so nervous that neither he or Michelle realized that he forgot to open the box! Michelle said YES without having seen the ring he got her. How’s that for true love? Her next words were, “Are you sure?”. That’s Michelle alright haha. So that brings us to today. It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally here. Nick and Michelle are so excited to share their special day and celebrate with all of you!
