Picture this, it’s a cold February night and you’re in the middle of a fraternity basement, when I walk up to this beautiful girl there and go, “Hi, I’m Sam, I heard you’re Jewish too.” Despite knowing Jordan was Jewish, I thought there was no way in hell that line would work. 6 ½ years later, my immediate thought of wedding planning is “Holy F****** S***, I’m planning a wedding.” When I first said to myself, Jordan was the one, I wanted to make it so that our engagement made her feel like the most special girl in the world. Three things needed to be done that I cared about heartfully: • The Ring, it had to be unique • The People, I wanted the closest people in our lives to be there to celebrate with us • Jordan, I wanted her to feel so incredibly special Over 5 months starting in May 2023, I crafted the proposal plan Project Beyonce Ring Left 224 Fearless TS. Every word created with meaning. Beyonce = Single Ladies, Ring Left = implying where the ring was going to go, 224 = February 24th (day we met), Fearless TS = reminding myself to be fearless and Taylor Swift is Jordan’s favorite artist. After numerous calls with moms to perfect the plan, to get Jordan to buy into the lies about why we had to fly home on a random October weekend, we walked down to the Georgetown waterfront, I proposed. To get the customized ring, to get the closest people to us there and to get Jordan to fall in love with me, it was perfect. At night, we danced and partied away with some of our closest friends and families. Now, the party expands to our expanded yet closest friends and family, see you August 31st, 2025, f******! -Sam
