Adam has been eating here once a week for over 2 years and has tried all the restaurants. His top 4: 1. Pasta Casalinga 2. Oriental Mart 3. Urara Sushi 4. Farvahar Persian Cafe P.S. Rosemarie actually helped envision the future for this historic landmark!
Seattle's newest park! Walk from Pike Place Market down Overlook Walk to the waterfront. Check out the Seattle Aquarium. Take in views of the city and Elliot Bay. You will probably pass Rosemarie's office which is located in a historic pier!
Our old stomping grounds! We lived a couple blocks away from the lake for a few years. We really enjoyed walking around the lake - great people, dog, and bird watching.
Adam's favorite park in Seattle. Go at sunset! On a clear day you can see the Olympics across Puget Sound.
Ooink (our favorite ramen ever!) Temple Pastries Flint Creek Cattle Co Communion Joule (Korean fusion) Cafe Munir (Middle Eastern) Saint Bread Alebrijes Kitchen (Mexican) Hello Robin (get the ice cream cookie sandwich!)
Take a ferry ride and head out to the Olympic Peninsula! Spend 2-3 days there (it's huge!): - Drive out to Lake Crescent (actually our second choice for a wedding venue!). Consider doing one of the hikes nearby - Marymere Falls if you're looking for a short jaunt in the forest, Mt. Storm King for more of a challenge and sweeping views. - Stop at our favorite beach in the state, Second Beach in Olympic National Park! Ruby Beach is also a gem. - Visit the Hoh Rainforest to see moss and ferns that will remind you of Jurassic Park. - Stop at Kalaloch. Walk down the bluffs to the sandy beach and visit the Tree of Life. Another Option - take the ferry from Mukilteo to Whidbey Island: - Stop for brunch at the Flower House Cafe - Explore the quaint towns of Langley and Coupeville. - Drive north to Deception Pass State Park. Take the short hike down to the beach below Deception Pass Bridge. Note: It will be a little early to visit the Cascades or Mt. Rainier - there will be a lot of snow!
