The airport in Los Angeles can be a good option for our friends and family coming from Europe as well as US. Its about a 2h drive down to San Diego from LAX. Make sure you are rested when hitting the road!

If you are staying just for the weekend or a little bit longer (we would love you too!), we recommend looking for an Airbnb in Encinitas, Carlsbad, Cardiff, or Solana Beach. We live in Encinitas, right off Vulcan Avenue if you want to be close to us (yes, please!).
