Every Wednesday from 3-7pm there is a Farmer's Market and several boutique shops that are worth seeing!
Little Italy
Great neighborhood in San Diego, home to a good choice of restaurants and bars. The restaurant Born & Raised is where John asked Caroline to be his girlfriend, and Caroline of course said YES!
Gaslamp Quarter
Historic district in Downtown San Diego where you find restaurants, bars, and a lot of different events!
Coronado Island
On Coronado Island you find some of San Diegos finest beaches! Flat, white sand, and 1.5 miles long... Coronado Island is also the home of the U.S Navy SEALS center, beautiful hotel del Coronado, and host of the annual Dog Surfing Competition. Spend a day here relaxing or go for a bike ride!
Hollywood
Why not taking a day trip up to LA! We recommend a hike up the Runyon Canyon for celebrity spotting, or a walk along Santa Monica Pier. Driving from Encinitas takes around 2h with traffic.
Beacon's Beach
Our home turf! "Our" beach just two blocks from our home where we surf, relax, watch the sunset, and laugh a lot!
Swami's State Beach
Swamis / Pipe's beach is a must see! You can go for a run along the 3-mile stretch of coastline next to the state park and afterwards jump in the ocean to cool off!
Meditation Gardens
Take a stroll through the beautiful garden and enjoy the amazing view.
Torrey Pines
Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve remains one of the wildest stretches of land on Southern California coast! John and Caroline hiked here the very first time Caroline came to visit John in San Diego. Needless to say, she got hooked ;)
Kayaking
Kayak along La Jollas calm shore or through the amazing sea cliffs and caves!
Whale watching
Book a whale watching tour, with Everyday California for example (link below) or simply just stay patient on one of our beaches - we'll promise you will eventually see whale spouts, dolphins and seals! Yay!

Buona Forchetta - Encinitas
Best pizza - EVER! We recommend fried calamaris with their home made tomato sauce, the nicola pizza and a glass of Barbarolo. Amore

This coffee shop is a local favorite and right next to the Surfhouse Boutique Hotel.
The Taco Stand
If you're looking for a great lunch spot with amazing mexican food and even better vibes, look no further than 'The Taco Stand.' Just watch out as the line could be longer than expected during peak eating hours. But well worth the wait!
