Jerry and Roselina knew each other before they were even born. Jerry’s parents and Roselina’s father are from the same town in Sicily where Jerry and Roselina will be married.

Growing up they often saw each other. Roselina’s childhood home and Jerry’s Nonna and Nonno’s house were only one house away from each other. They went to the same middle school and high school. They often saw each other at Italian events in San Pedro and Roselina also attended Jerry’s brother and sister’s weddings. In 2002, they, with many other Italian-Americans spent the summer in Sicily. They jumped off cliffs, spent time at the beach and went to Italian night clubs.

In December 2023, Jerry and Roselina visited her sister in Milan. Unbeknownst to Roselina, Jerry was planning the proposal secretively with her sister Loredana and brother in law Lorenzo. He decided on proposing to Roselina on Romeo and Juliet’s balcony in Verona, Italy, where she said, “Yes!” We are so excited to celebrate with you all in Sicily.
