Brideswoman
Brig and I have been friends since day 1 of freshman year of HS. She is my road trip buddy and the person I learned to pump gas with (cause, Oregon). We have consumed our weight in Diet Coke and wheat thins, annoyed the neighborhoods of Portland by blasting way too much Tim McGraw, and will become your best friend by the end of the evening by complimenting your shoes, your hair and/or your smile. She is loyal, loving, outgoing and has only one dance move. But that’s okay, I still love her.

Stew and I have been friends since 8th grade (or 7th?). Her real name is Annie but I like her nickname better. She’s the no-nonsense friend that every person needs. Stew is unfailingly supportive, has artistic skills I can only dream of, and has watched every truly terrible rom-com that has come out in the past 15 years with me, at least twice. If you need a cookie, go see her. Just don’t touch her feet.

We’re a threesome so gotta do these together... Liz and I go back to the beginning of time (aka age 3). Our brothers are best buds, my mom was her kindergarten teacher, we’ve been neighbors since we were 8. We met Coll in 7th grade on the mean streets of the Hillside basketball court. I was terrible and they had 5” on me. I think I spent more time with them in HS than my family. From IB classes to constitution team, mock trial, track, cross-country, soccer, MUN...I had found my terrifyingly brilliant type-A soulmates. Liz is determined, driven and conscientious. Coll is compassionate, dedicated and always inquisitive. They both might just save the world someday. No matter how long it’s been since I’ve seen them, when we’re together, everything goes back to normal.
Groomsman
Chris was my college roommate and then my neighbor when we both came back to Reno. He is one of the only people who has seen my seen my good, bad, and ugly. Meaning he’s the one person who has more embarrassing dirt on me than I care to think about. Chris can always be counted on for advice, a laugh, Oregon sports watching, political discussions, and a good Irish whiskey. Chris is the best kind of friend, the kind that feels more like a brother.

Although technically we were in college together, I didn’t meet Chris until I moved back to Reno. After a late night partaking in many beverages, like all normal friends, we decided it would be a great idea to … yep that's right: buy a soccer team. These days, we still step onto the pitch together, but now it's mostly for the pint and heckling afterward. He's a true mountain zen master and can ofter be heard whispering, "free the heel, free the mind."

Instantly bonding over favorite things (long-boarding, running, soccer, and the movie Rad), I met Josh within my first hour in Eugene. Ever the life of the party, Josh was a master cocktail-maker, specializing in the unique use of Everclear as a drink enhancer. Soon he became my go-to adventure buddy during my Oregon and Colorado years. We often burnt both ends of the candle staying out all night then get up early to rush off on some hair-brained activity. He is my "up for anything at a moment's notice" friend.

I mean, he’s an older brother. Obnoxious, smelly, freakishly tall (for the Lande family). Occasionally supportive and caring. Has been known to bail me out when I’m in trouble. Terrible (yet loud) singer. Awful dancer. Total know-it -all. I ran out of all the nice things I could say about him at his wedding so we’ll leave it at: He’s okay. I guess.

Ah, an older sister. Who doesn't love those? She knew everything before I did, but was kind enough not to rub it in...too often. The first person to take me to the bars. The first person to make me an Uncle. She's let me seek refuge in her home, wherever she may be. I appreciate the care and support she's given me and I am so happy to have her standing beside me on my wedding day.

If you think older sisters are fun, wait till you get a baby sister when you're 6 years old. I went from being the youngest to becoming a dreaded middle child. On the bright side, little sisters are GREAT for making sandwiches, doing your chores for you, changing the channel when the remote is broken...at least until she learned she could say no. We've been roommates, bar-buddies, confidantes, and have never gotten into an argument even once (HA). 2019 is a big year for the 2 youngest Rose siblings; it's the year we get to watch each other get married and I can't wait for all the celebrating we'll do together.

I will be updating frequently this photo since he will not look like this by the time we get married.
Whirling Dervish & Tiny Dancer
The boisterous Bodger girls. From DC to Reno, we have been so lucky to spend time watching these two amazing, intelligent, beautiful girls grow up. From soccer games to dance performances, we love being a part of their special days and we are so excited to have our nieces be a part of ours.
