Flight
Really the only airport to fly into. But on the upside, it's rated #1 in US airports. So there's that. Lightrail (the MAX) runs directly to the airport and is a great option if you are staying downtown or at the Jupiter. Or you can grab cabs or rideshares.
Travel Note
Our hope is that by having our wedding in a central location in Portland, you will not need to rent a car unless you plan to do some exploring outside the city (and by all means, do so, scroll down for some recommendations!). We are not planning to provide any organized shuttles but are recommending hotels and neighborhoods that are all in close proximity to the wedding festivities. We would strongly encourage you to take a Lyft or cab or bicycle or lightrail to any/all wedding events. If that doesn't appeal to you, we can also try to coordinate some carpooling with the locals. Whatever you choose to do, please don't drink and drive!
Hotel
The discount code applies to either hotel. The original Jupiter Hotel is a 1960's motor lodge attached to the Doug Fir Lounge. Lots of Portland character; choose a bar side room for something livelier or the "chill" side for quieter rooms. The Jupiter Next is across the street, brand new and more of a traditional hotel. Click "View" below which will take you to the hotel website. Click the image of which hotel property you want to stay at. Enter your dates (may require a two night minimum). Click: "Got a code?" then enter the below discount code. These hotels are about 5-7 minutes driving distance from the wedding venue and are very centrally located in the city. They are about 30 minutes from Portland airport in a lyft/cab or 45 minutes on lightrail.

House Or Rental
Aside from the Jupiter hotels, another good option for accommodations (particularly for groups of friends!) is to rent a house through Airbnb. Portland has a lot of great residential neighborhoods grouped around streets with endless restaurants and bars. Some recommended neighborhoods: Hawthorne in SE Portland (5-10 minutes to the venue): quieter, residential area but with lots of restaurants on SE Division Street, SE Hawthorne Ave, and SE Belmont Ave Laurelhurst in SE Portland (10-15 minutes to the venue): also more residential, closer to Burnside Ave Alberta in NE Portland (15-20 minutes to the venue): quieter, residential area with lots to explore on Alberta Ave Pearl District in NW Portland (15-20 minutes to the venue): mixed-use neighborhood, apartments/lofts, close to Powell's Bookstore! West End in SW Portland (15-20 minutes to the venue): Just across Burnside from the Pearl District, same vibe If you find a place that looks good and you want a second opinion, we can help!
Hotel
Some other suggestions: Hotel Deluxe (https://www.hoteldeluxeportland.com/): Downtown Portland, Gracie's Restaurant has great brunch, about 15 minutes to venue Ace Hotel (http://www.acehotel.com/portland): Downtown, for the hipsters, about 15 minutes to the venue For those collecting hotel points, downtown (SW Portland) is also home to Marriotts, Hiltons, Kimptons, etc. The SW Park Blocks have a great Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings and you are about 10 minutes to the wedding venue from that part of town.
Travel Note
Portland has really great food. Please eat as much of it as possible. Some of our favorites: Pok Pok (mutiple locations, the original is on SE division, Thai street food) Bunk (again, multiple locations, get the cubano) Pine State Biscuits (breakfast biscuits with gravy, worth it) The Davenport (say hi to Kurt at the bar) Bar Avignon (on Division Street SE) Nostrana (a Portland classic) XLB (for the soup dumplings) If you want doughnuts, Blue Star over Voodoo (but you do you) For the meat lovers: Toro Bravo, Ox, Le Pigeon, Olympia Provisions For the classics: Higgins, Paley's Place For the old school beer: McMenamin's For the snacking: Food Carts! (http://www.foodcartsportland.com/) For the veggies: Shalom Y'all Eater (linked) will lead you to some good and new spots. If you're really stuck on where to go, Debra Lande will help you (debra.lande@gmail.com).
