This website is a work in progress! Most information won't be possible to provide until nearer the occasion and it will take a while to compile and organize useful information - however, we wanted to post this site by the time people receive invites so that you could all have some general information to work with! That said, please revisit this site in Spring 2026 for more info and updates!

For our guests traveling from the States, we recommend finding a cheap flight to Europe, regardless of the specific destination. Our favorite transatlantic budget airline is Norse- they don't fly everywhere in Europe though, so we look for their cheapest flight around a given date and then see if we can find a cheap flight on one of the many budget airlines that fly within Europe from that same location (for those who don't have time to stay long, make sure the second flight is on the same date but a later time than the first flight arrives! Bear in mind prices can vary a lot day to day). These airlines include Easyjet, Vueling, Ryanair, BLANK. For our European friends, many of you will already be familiar with the above budget airlines but hopefully this list is a helpful reminder! For our friends coming from Asia or any other far flung locations, the advice will generally resemble the advice for coming from the states but we will have to do more research on good airlines for the initial journey into Europe! Maybe some of you will have recommendations we can pass on :) FOR EVERYONE: remember that booking early helps secure better prices and that waiting until close to the time you want to fly can be very painful on any budget! Also remember that budget airlines are the best option when you're willing to travel light and without all the bells and whistles - if you don't prepare well, knowing you're within luggage allowance guidelines from the airline you're flying with, etc. the extra costs can build up! If you're traveling with someone you'll probably want to at least choose your seat - regardless, the first listed price you find will not be the final cost of the flight but finding a low base price helps prevent the final cost being too high!

Because Hvar is an Island which is only accessible by ferry, it is necessary to first arrive somewhere else on the mainland before catching a boat that will drop you off in town! This may give you a chance to visit another exciting town in Croatia :) Everyone will most likely be traveling either through Split or Dubrovnik. Split is much closer (less than an hour on the ferry) and is less touristy than Dubrovnik but equally historic and beautiful! Dubrovnik (about 3 hours on the ferry) was used in Game of Thrones (for those interested in filming locations). Basically, the two best options for reaching Hvar are Split and Dubrovnik, both are beautiful, historic, and touristy (to varying degrees) and we recommend comparing which location has more you'd like to see and pricing out your options (see the "Things To Do" page on this site to find some examples of fun activities in each region :) you may also decide to fly into one of these towns and head straight to Hvar without stopping)! Maybe some of you will even be able to do both! Our recommendations are focused on being cost and time effective but those who aren't as concerned about that can also look at train or car journeys from other parts of Europe or even Northern Croatia (places like Zagreb, the capital) which provide a completely different environment and experience for those looking for variety in their trip to this interesting and culturally diverse region!
