This website is a work in progress! Most information won't be possible to provide until nearer the occasion and it will take a while to compile and organize useful information - however, we wanted to post this site by the time people receive invites so that you could all have some general information to work with! That said, please revisit this site in Spring 2026 for more info and updates!
Beauty/history/archaeology/shopping On the island of Hvar, Stari Grad is an adorable town with historic sites to visit and good options for buying authentic, high-quality local products as gifts or souvenirs! Recent work has unearthed Roman mosaics and the town is home to Tvrdalj Castle, the home of 16th Century poet Petar Hektorović: a tranquil and stunning step into the past! Both the mosaics and Tvrdalj Castle (along with much else!) are part of a Stari Grad walking tour (which costs BLANK; admission to Tvrdalj costs a little extra - if enough people are interested we may block book a tour which may bring down the cost for everyone a little!). Around the Old Town you can see the Stari Grad plain, a UNESCO site dated to the 4th century BC that has been in continuous use for the same crops with the same methods through today! Other honorable mentions worth looking up: Stari Grad Museum/Biankini Palace, the Dominican Monastery, Maslinovik, St. Stephan's and St. Jerolim's churches!
