What are the deadlines?

We ask that all guests have their RSVP completed and resort reservations made by August 31st, 2024. Rooms must be paid in full by September 30th, 2024. Please note that the room block with special contracted rates is currently closed, as our deadline to book has passed. However, you can still use the link to the booking form on our "travel and booking info" page to request a quote from our travel agent.

Do you have a registry?

Answer

No, we do not. We kindly request no gifts, please. Your presence is the best present we hope to receive.

What do I wear?

Answer

The ceremony/reception is beach semi-formal attire. All other events are casual. Although please note that there are dress codes for some of the more formal restaurants on the resort. Please download the Hyatt Inclusive app for detailed information on resort dress codes.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

To allow all guests to relax and enjoy themselves, we have chosen to make our special day adults only. The resort, along with all wedding events, is adults only. We thank you for your understanding.

Is it safe to travel to Mexico?

Answer

Yes. Our resort is situated in an exclusive gated community located a few miles north of Cancun. This exclusive area is comprised of luxurious all-inclusive hotels, a golf course, a marina, and a few private residences. Entrance into the area has a 24-hour security gate so only residents, guests of the hotels or golf course, and their employees are allowed access. The State Department has given most of Mexico a Level 2 advisory. That's the same level of caution designated to 70 other countries, including Belize, France, Costa Rica, the UK, Italy, and Germany. Just don't do anything extremely stupid, please.

How do I book my stay?

Answer

All guests must stay at the selected resort to attend the wedding. We have reserved a limited number of rooms with special group rates at the resort. Our travel agent, Taylor, has made a booking website for our group that can be found on the "Booking & Travel" tab. We ask that you book your room(s) directly from this site. Please note that guests who do not stay at the resort will incur additional fees to attend the wedding events.

What if I find a cheaper room rate online?

Answer

Price matching is available. On the booking form, please submit your reservation as normal, and in the special requests / notes field, please let us know where you found a better rate. Our travel agent may require a e-mailed screen shot of the offer, and will send this information to the price match team.

When do I pay for my hotel room?

Answer

There is a $100 deposit due when submitting your booking. The balance of your trip must be paid in full by September 30, 2024.

What if the room block does not have the room I want?

Answer

Please reach out to our travel agent, Taylor, who can work to add the room type of your choice to the room block.

What if I want to stay somewhere else?

Answer

If you want to stay anywhere other than Secrets Playa Blanca, you will have to purchase a $100 day guest pass to attend the wedding since it is held at an all inclusive resort.

What is the room block cancellation policy?

Answer

Your initial $100 deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel your reservation before the final payment due date, you will only lose your deposit. If you cancel after September 30, refunds will depend on the insurance you purchased. If you do not purchase insurance, your reservation is non-refundable. Please see the booking website linked on the travel page for insurance information.

How do I book my flight?

Please fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN). All flights should be purchased separately with your airline of choice. You can, however, book round trip transfer to/from CUN and the resort through our booking website!

Is there a minimum night stay at the resort?

Answer

Yes, there is a three (3) night minimum stay. You can choose to stay up to 7 nights under our room block rates. We selected a holiday weekend (Presidents Day) hoping this would provide flexibility for our guests. Please refer to the "schedule" tab for a timeline of events throughout the weekend.

What is an all-inclusive hotel?

Just in case you have been living under a rock, all-inclusive means that all your food and drinks are included in your stay. This includes a la carte restaurants and all the booze you can drink. The only person I know who has been cut off from a bar at an all-inclusive resort is JD...

Do I have a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited venue space, we cannot provide a guest for everyone. Check to see who your invite / save the date was addressed to. If you do not have a significant other, odds are you do not have a plus one. If your situation changes and your new significant other has a private jet, we can definitely talk.

Should I rent a car?

Answer

No, please do NOT rent a car. All events will be held onsite at the resort. Furthermore, all your food and drinks are included in your hotel stay. You will be trapped in our love bubble all weekend, just the way we like it.

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes, duh. *PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK THAT YOUR PASSPORT WILL NOT BE EXPIRED*. Passports must be valid for six months beyond the date of travel. Don't be that person...

Will the wedding events be indoors or outdoors?

All events will be outdoors. No rain dances, please.
