We recommend all guests arrive by 2:30. The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00.
There is a parking lot at Saint Sophia’s Cathedral and street parking available at the reception at Woodrow Wilson House. However, we recommend getting a ride with us! We will offer shuttle buses leaving from the hotel (The Marriott Canal Street of Georgetown) to the ceremony, reception, and back to the hotel at the end of the night.
Here's a snapshot of what we have in store: The ceremony - our wedding at Saint Sophia's Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Transportation - buses will be available outside the church to transport you to the Woodrow Wilson House for the cocktail hour, where appetizers and refreshments will be served. The reception - dinner, toasts, cake, and lots of dancing.
Our dress code for the ceremony and the reception are formal but comfortable. Our reception will be mainly outdoors so I recommend bringing a light jacket. For the ladies, I recommend comfortable footwear (for all the Greek dancing planned and the grass :)).
There is transportation from the Canal House of Georgetown, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel to the ceremony and reception. Guests staying at nearby hotels are welcome to ride the shuttles provided at Marriott Canal Street. Georgetown is very walkable.
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate plus ones. We are looking forward to our wedding being an intimate gathering with our closest friends and family.
