Crystal Roof is a freelance American Sign Language interpreter. She and Justin have known each other since high school, and after several years of dating and a romantic proposal in the Caribbean are ready to tie the knot. Crystal is a woman of many passions including gaming of all kinds, reading, crafting and learning new things. Crystal’s friends and family are her world, and she is incredibly excited to celebrate one of the biggest moments in her life with all of you.

Justin Weir

Groom

Justin Weir is a Senior Pharmacy Technician for Walgreens. He and Crystal have known each other since high school but didn’t begin dating until several years later. Soon after they did though, Justin knew he’d found the one he wanted to marry. Justin enjoys games of all kinds, from video games to tabletop. In his free time, he collaborates on board and card game designing and play testing. He’s also a consummate jokester who enjoys making others laugh. Justin is pleased to share the most important moment in his life with his friends and family.

Cortney Hammock

Maid of Honor

Cortney is a Coordinator of Training at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort in Walt Disney World. She and Crystal have known one another for over fifteen years and met while preparing for a father daughter dance with their Girl Scout troop. When not assisting guests at the most magical place on earth, Cortney can either be found enjoying a good book, spending time with her beloved cat and snake, or pursuing one of her many academic interests such as astronomy.

Sarah Massengale

Maid of Honor

Sarah Massengale is a public relations professional and classically trained operatic soprano. Sarah has known Crystal for nearly seven years, looking after her like a sister before they ever even met face to face. When not on stage or masterminding various projects, Sarah can be found curled up with a cup of coffee or tea and a good mystery novel.

Josh Kopp

Best Man

Joshua Kopp is in management at Walgreens CPO, and develops games when he's not running or playing Dungeons and Dragons. He's been friends with Justin for 8 years and his roommate for 2 years.

Bud Vander Kaay

Best Man

Bud is a Fifth-Grade teacher for Polk County Public Schools. He has known both Justin and Crystal for several years. Bud met Crystal at an American Sign Language convention and Justin at the Valencia College bookstore. He has had the pleasure of watching their love grow and blossom from both sides of their relationship. Bud is happily married and is excited to celebrate with Justin and Crystal as they embark on their own marital adventure.

Sarah Hinton

Bridesmaid

Sarah Hinton works as a Pro Specialist with Lowe’s. She has known her cousin Crystal for her entire life and considers her one of her favorite cousins and closest friends. Sarah is grateful that Crystal and Justin have found each other and excited to share in the most important day of their lives. In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her pets, gardening and playing video games.

Sarah Wasserman

Bridesmaid

Sarah Wasserman works in retail at Tues Morning. She and Crystal met during the Anime Festival of Orlando convention and have known each other for four years. In her free time, Sarah enjoys crafting, sewing and playing tabletop games. She and Crystal enjoy their quality girl time together, which often includes shared crafting projects.

Ryan Bragg

Groomsman

Ryan Bragg works as a computer programmer, specializing in Identity Management. He met Justin through his young adult group at church, when Justin randomly dropped into his lap to say hello. He has since met Crystal through Justin and is thankful to be a part of their wedding. In his free time, Ryan enjoys reading, spending time with friends and playing video games.

Cody Wasserman

Groomsman

Cody Wasserman works to appeal denied health insurance claims. He has known Justin for several years and enjoys getting to know him through their shared work on a card game for Anime Festival Orlando. Cody is an avid gamer, and in his free time, works as a game designer for board and card games.

Russell Roof

Russell Roof is a software engineer. His wife of 34 years, Trish, and his Pumpkin, Crystal, are the two most important women in his life, and he thanks God that Crystal has found the one with whom she wants to share her life. In his free time, Russ enjoys playing video and board games and has eagerly passed that love on to Crystal.

Patricia Roof

Mother of the Bride

Patricia Roof works as a Crew Trainer for McDonald’s, also handling customer service. Her husband, Russ, and daughter, Crystal, are the two most important people in her life, and Patricia is excited to watch Crystal start a life of her own. In her free time, she enjoys crafting of all kinds, spending time with her family and spoiling her dog Sheba.

Terri Weir

Mother of the Groom

Terri Weir is enjoying a quiet life of retirement in Mississippi. Before retiring, she worked for 27 years at Valencia College in Kissimmee, Florida. Terri is excited that her son has found someone with whom he can share his life and thrilled to have Crystal as a daughter-in-law. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their five rescue dogs Sassy, Sissy, Buster, Penny and Peemite.

Waddie Weir

Father of the Groom

Waddie Weir is retired from 25 years of work at Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida. He has also served two years in the United States Navy as a Petty Officer 2nd class, where he worked as a ship’s Clerk. Waddie has been married to his wife Terri for 30 years and is excited to see his son begin a married life of his own. Waddie enjoys spending time with his wife and his five rescue dogs.

Paul Vander Kaay

Officiant

Pastor Paul Vander Kaay has worn many hats over the years, Senior Chief in the United States Coast Guard, E.R. Manager at a hospital, and Senior Pastor at Four Corners Baptist Church. Pastor Paul has had the honor of leading Justin and Crystal through marriage counseling to help prepare them for their lives together. He is excited to perform their wedding and to watch them grow in God and in love.
