Travel Note
October is peak season for the Paso Robles area. This is when the vineyards are preparing to harvest grapes. Because October is one of the most popular months for weddings in Paso Robles, we suggest booking your accommodations early.

Flight
The closest (and smallest) commercial airport to Paso Robles is the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport (SBP). This is a 30-40 minute drive from the Paso Robles area.
Flight
The closest major airport is located in San Jose (SJC). The San Jose International Airport is a 2 hour, 20 minute drive up the 101 from Paso Robles. If you are feeling adventurous you could take the "scenic route" and check out Big Sur on the way down - this would add about 2 hours plus picture stops.
Flight
The San Francisco International Airport (SFO) would also be an option. This airport is a little less than 3 hours away.
Flight
If you would prefer coming in from the south, you could fly into Los Angeles (LAX). LAX is a horrible airport and a pain in the butt, but depending on your plans it could be a necessary evil. It is approximately 3 and a half hours (via Interstate 5 - the flat, boring route) from Paso Robles. There is also the scenic route going up 101 which only adds about 15 minutes (depending on traffic) and goes through Oxnard, Ventura, Santa Barbara, Santa Ynez, Pismo Beach and San Luis Obispo.
Flight
The John Wayne Orange County airport (SNA) is a small and convenient airport and the closest to where we live. From here it is about a 4 hours 15 min drive via Interstate 5.
Rental Car
Rental cars will likely be necessary regardless of which airport you end up flying into
