We're Getting married!

(Editors note: Lauren has tried to obtain the initial messages from Bumble but was told she'd need to obtain a subpoena to have access. So away we go!) The story begins when Lauren and Drew matched on Bumble, which required Lauren to actually make the first move and message Drew. Drew seemed to initially be impressed by Lauren's position at Cole Haan and one might imagine he had thoughts of CH dress shoes dancing through his head. Lauren inquired about Drew's favorite football team: the New York Football Giants. Lauren, a Dallas Cowboys fan since birth, was able to move past this unfavorable news and agreed to meet him for a date on Monday October 5th, 2015. Monday rolled around and Drew texted Lauren around lunchtime to check if they were still on for that night. Lauren excitedly replied that yes, she was still in. Another text from Drew followed, letting Lauren know that he could not stay out late that night as he had to do laundry. Laundry? Laundry. Having heard it all at this point, Lauren assumed Drew either did not actually want to go on the date or even worse he had another date after theirs. She immediately texted this update to every girlfriend in her phone*. Later that day, Lauren nervously walked to the meeting spot, Bread & Tulips (recommended to Drew by restauranteur and groomsmen , Jason Steinthal.) She walked in to find Drew nervously waiting for her in the nearly empty bar. They were both wearing Barbour jackets. She made a joke about it. Things were off to a good start. Over drinks they talked about their love of college football, their fantasy football teams and Lauren's position as commissioner of her all lady league and Drew's recent trip to Lauren's hometown of Albuquerque. They had easy conversation and a lot in common. At the end of the not-too-late night they had agreed to a second date, Drew went home to do laundry, and the rest is history. *Drew was only known as "Laundry Guy" to many of Lauren's friends until about December.
