When should I r.s.v.p by? ... ¿Cuándo debo confirmar mi asistencia?

Answer

MICHIGAN: Please RSVP by May 25, 2025. If we do not receive an RSVP by this date, you will be counted as a 'no', and we will not have a plate for you. We have an extremely limited capacity and cannot accommodate late RSVPs. MEXICO: Please RSVP by September 1, 2025. We will need to submit a final head count for catering! MICHIGAN: Confirme su asistencia antes del 25 de mayo de 2025. Debido a la capacidad del lugar (75 personas como máximo) y los requisitos de catering, necesitaremos saber un recuento final desde el principio. (Esto también ayudará con la ansiedad de Molly, ¡jaja!) Además, ¡también querrás decidir con tiempo suficiente dónde quedarte! What if I don't know if I can make it to an event? Is there a "maybe" option?

Answer

No, there is not a "maybe" option because we will need to know a final headcount. If you need to, you can always answer "will attend" if you intend to go but are not sure about specifics, and then edit your R.S.V.P. using the same link by our deadline!

What are all of the events I need to R.S.V.P to?

Answer

We will have "5 events" you can R.S.V.P. to! These are: 1. The Send Off Party in the 713 2. The Wedding in Michigan 3. A Beach Day in Michigan the day after the wedding 4. The Wedding Ceremony in Mexico 5. The Wedding Reception and Dinner in Mexico.

What if I'm not sure I can go to the Mexico Wedding yet?

Answer

We know it's pretty far out for the Mexico wedding in November, so if you are interested in attending but do not know for sure yet if you can, please go ahead and R.S.V.P. either 'will attend' or 'will not attend' and you can always come back and edit your R.S.V.P. until September!

Can I bring a date or a 'plus one'? ... ¿Puedo traer un 'más uno'?

Answer

Due to limited capacity at the venues, and the desire to keep it as intimate as possible, we ask that you do not bring anyone who is not listed on your invitation. If you have been designated a plus one, it will say so on your invitation! Debido a la capacidad limitada en los lugares, le pedimos que no traiga a nadie que no esté incluido en su invitación. Si ha sido designado como acompañante, ¡lo indicará en su invitación!

Can my kids come? ... ¿Pueden venir mis hijos?

We love all of your kids! We wish we could have everyone there, but with the limited capacity of our venues, we can only invite the children specifically listed on the invitation. Consider this a night out or a mini-vacation! ¡Amamos a todos sus hijos! Deseamos poder tener a todos allí, pero debido a la capacidad limitada de nuestros lugares, solo podemos invitar a los niños que figuran específicamente en la invitación. ¡Considere esto como una salida nocturna o unas mini vacaciones!

Why are there two weddings? ... ¿Por qué hay dos bodas?

Answer

We knew from the moment that we got engaged that we'd probably have two separate events because the people we love most come from two different countries (or more)! We didn't want to risk anyone not being able to celebrate with us based on the state of the border and their visas/passports. Porque no los dos?! ¡Sabíamos desde el momento en que nos comprometimos que probablemente tendríamos dos eventos separados porque las personas que más amamos provienen de dos países diferentes (o más)! No queríamos correr el riesgo de que nadie pudiera celebrar con nosotros debido al estado de la frontera y sus visas/pasaportes. Porque no los dos?!

What events should I come to? ... ¿A qué eventos debo acudir?

ALL OF THEM! (just kidding, we know that's a lot). We would love to see you at whichever event you can make it to. We decided to host a send-off party in Houston so that our loved ones in Texas can decide what is best for them. Two weddings in two different countries? We know that's hard. Our Michigan wedding will be a night under the stars: dancing, eating, drinking, laughing, and all dolled up. Your typical "wedding". Our Mexican wedding will be our religious ceremony in the Catholic Cathedral followed by a dinner in an event hall. It will be so beautiful! For those who can't make it to either of these weddings, please join us for a send-off potluck in Houston. ¡TODOS! (es broma, sabemos que es mucho). Nos encantaría verte en cualquier evento al que puedas asistir. Decidimos organizar una fiesta de despedida en Houston para que nuestros seres queridos en Texas puedan decidir qué es lo mejor para ellos. ¿Dos bodas en dos países diferentes? Sabemos que es difícil. Nuestra boda en Michigan será nuestra boda cívil, será una noche bajo las estrellas: bailando, comiendo, bebiendo, riendo y todos arreglados. Tu típica "boda". What should I wear? ... ¿Qué debería ponerme?

Answer

We would really love to see you all dressed up! We only get to do this once (twice)! For Michigan, we would love for you to dress in cocktail or semi-formal attire (think dresses, suits, shawls)! Mexican weddings tend to be even more formal (think floor-length dresses, and suits). But ultimately, we want you to feel like you! ¡Nos encantaría verlos a todos disfrazados! ¡Solo podemos hacer esto una (dos veces)! ¡Para Michigan, nos encantaría que te vistieras con un traje de cóctel o semiformal (piensa en vestidos, trajes, chales)! Las bodas Mexicanas tienden a ser aún más formales (piense en vestidos y trajes hasta el suelo). Pero, en última instancia, ¡queremos que te sientas como tú!

When should I arrive to each city? ... ¿Cuándo debo llegar a cada ciudad?

Answer

We would recommend that you arrive at least one day prior. We would hate for travel problems to be the reason we miss you! Te recomendamos llegar al menos un día antes. ¡Odiaríamos que los problemas de viaje fueran la razón por la que te extrañamos!

What will parking be like? ... ¿Cómo será el a estacionamiento?

Answer

There is parking for all events for our weddings! There may not be too much, though. For Michigan, we'd encourage you to use the Interurban (an "uber"-like bus system) or rideshare. For Mexico, we would recommend carpooling together to limit the vehicles required. ¡Hay estacionamiento para todos los eventos de nuestras bodas! Aunque puede que no haya demasiado. Para Michigan, le recomendamos que utilice el Interurban (un sistema de autobuses tipo "uber") o el viaje compartido. Para México, recomendaríamos compartir el viaje juntos para limitar los vehículos necesarios.
