The Story of Us

first, cafesito ~ then, para siempre

Molly's side of the story: We met at Plum Coffee in 2016.... well, Autumn of 2015 (10 years ago!). Eduardo's family owned a coffee shop near my school, and one afternoon after choir, a friend dragged me out to try this coffee place she loved. I had driven past this place countless times, and little did I know that it would change my life forever. One of the things I loved so much about Plum was that they were always playing old jazz- Ella, Dean, Etta, Nina, Frank...It was a pretty nice soundtrack to fall in love to. After a while of going to the shop (not for coffee- just to see a crush) and never seeing the super cute barista that made me trip over my words, he showed up again one day and remembered I'd gotten a chai.... This time it was free. Soon enough, all my drinks were free (sorry, Shawn and Mia). We stopped talking for a bit, but, finally, after the shop was in the storm path of the Memorial Day Flood, I remember checking in with them to make sure they were okay. When I didn't hear anything back, I stormed into the shop demanding answers about why he hadn't answered. Since then, we've been inseparable. Even then, at my age, I knew this was different. He was and is home to me. He's taught me so much about loving others and myself, and I can't wait to marry this guy 10 years after our paths first crossed. I never thought I'd be so thankful for Chai Lattes. Eduardo's side of the story: I was working at our family coffee shop when Molly came in to get some coffee. When I saw her, I knew I had to get to know her. One day, I finally built the courage to ask for her number. I told my cousin Fernando "I'm just going to do it" so I did. After that, we did not really speak for a good while, a hurricane even struck Houston and it was not until after the hurricane that we started talking. I then asked her out on a date and we had paninis at Plum and I showed her how to pull the perfect espresso shot. After that first date, even though Molly does not believe me, I knew had found my forever, you can ask Molly about it, I am sure she still does not believe me. I told her that I loved her 08/15/2016. From them on, life has been a lot easier with Molly by my side. She is my sun, and I cannot wait for you guys to witness and start this next chapter with us.

For all the days along the way
