While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only affair so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us. Thank you for understanding.
We are having an UNPLUGGED CEREMONY. What does this mean? This means we want to see YOU and your smiling faces, not your devices during our ceremony. We fully encourage everyone to bring their phones, cameras, and recorders to help us document the day. But, we politely request that all devices be turned off or tucked away during the ceremony. Once we receive the professional images from our photographer after the wedding, we will be happy to send them to you! Please tag us with our wedding hashtag! #ROLFullyWedded
Think casual, be comfortable. Wear whatever you feel good in! There is a rustic/boho vibe to the wedding. Anything from jeans and sundresses to blazers and cocktail dresses are welcome! Ceremony will be held outdoors on grass so you may want to rethink stilettos. Think comfortable! OR bring an extra change of shoes and save your stilettos for the dance floor! With the wedding being in late September, night time may become chilly. Bringing a light wrap or jacket and change of shoes is suggested.
All who receive an invitation are invited to the ceremony. If you plan on attending the ceremony, we ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony to find a parking spot and find your seat. There will be signs to direct you to parking/ceremony/lodge, etc.
The ceremony and reception will be held at the same location. Tri County Coon Hunters Association is a private club and has convenient (free) parking for our guests. FULL DISCLOSER: Tri County Coon Hunters Association is a Conservation and Shooting Club. The range will be CLOSED for the private event, with no exceptions. There will be signs for parking and everything is within walking distance. We will be having an outdoor ceremony so please think comfortably for footwear, as the ceremony will be held on grass. We will have wheelchairs available to assist anyone who may need help to their chair for the ceremony or to the lodge for the reception. Cocktail hour will be held in the lodge directly following the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the lodge for cocktail hour where we will be serving finger foods and beverages.
Yes! There is a ramp making both levels of the lodge accessible. We will have extra wheelchairs available to assist elderly and those in need. Restrooms are located on the lower level of the lodge. There is no elevator accessibility. You are able to access lower level/restroom via wheelchair ramp.
BRING AN UMBRELLA! LOL but seriously. This venue isn’t your “traditional wedding venue”, and we aren’t your traditional couple. The ceremony will be held on a small clearing beneath the trees by the pergola. When weather is inclement, the ground can tend to get muddy. If the ground is dry enough to walk/sit on, the outdoor ceremony will go on! We will update everyone the closer we get. We are hoping for a beautiful day, BUT if that doesn’t happen we do have plans to accommodate and TRY to keep everyone dry.
Yes! We will be having a limited open bar, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. Finger foods and supper will be provided. Please contact bride or groom ahead of time if you have any special dietary needs or requests. Vegan/vegetarian/gluten free option will be provided.
We will be having a limited open bar. This means we will have beer and wine options only, as well as water, tea, soda, etc. Due to the venue not being a “traditional venue”, there is no full bar on site. We will have bartenders to serve our guests. Cash tips will be welcomed and appreciated!
Yes! We have secured a limited block of rooms at a hotel close to the ceremony/reception location. Please see our accommodations page for more information.
There is no shuttle service available for us to offer to our guests. If you want to partake in the open bar and have more than a few adult beverages, do your research and plan ahead! (Meaning, It’s Batesville, not downtown Cincinnati so Uber and Lyft options may be pretty limited)
We are so happy that you’ll be able to join us for our wedding. While the presence of your company is the only gift we could ever ask for, an alternative registry has been set up here for those who have expressed an interest in offering a gift to mark the occasion. Because we are saving for our future, we would appreciate cash donations in lieu of gifts. We ask only of your love and presence but if a present is your desire, we would be honored with a cash gift to help us save for our new home! Please visit our registry page for all the details. Thank you so, so much!!
You can find any and all updates on the wedding here on our website! As always, feel free to reach out to the Bride or Groom with any other questions! For the day of the wedding, please direct any questions or concerns to Best Man, Kyle Rolfes or Matron of Honor, Abie Patterson.
Just come and have some fun! Have a beer on us and help us celebrate! Meet us on the dance floor!
