Get ready to live it up, KC style! From great food options (more than just BBQ!) to breweries to speakeasys to museums to art, KC has something for everyone! Here are some of our favorite places:
Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que

Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que

Best BBQ in town! AMAZING portobello mushroom burger, and YOU HAVE to get the fries!

Casual Animal Brewing Co

Casual Animal Brewing Co

We've enjoyed multiple beers here (great hazy and sour), played What Do You Meme? with strangers, and have taken many visitors here!

Port Fonda + Julep

Port Fonda + Julep

4141 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64111
, (816) 216-6462

Our most frequented restaurant in town, with seasonal menus showcasing different Mexican cuisines! Delicious coffee (tres leches latte!) and margaritas (mango habanero!), salsas and guac, and AMAZING brunch and dinner options....we're salivating just writing this. And after, you can go get a brilliantly crafted cocktail at Julep, right around the corner!

Messenger Coffee Co. + Ibis Bakery

Messenger Coffee Co. + Ibis Bakery

1624 Grand Boulevard, Kansas City, MO 64108

Just a fun place to hang out, drink great coffee, and try some delicious baked goods! Also have a rooftop!

River Market

River Market

Kansas City, MO

It's more than just the weekly Farmer's Market! Plenty of hole-in-the-wall vendors and great coffee (Quay!), ice cream (Betty Rae's!), and brunch (Farmhouse!) a few steps away! Catch the FREE! Streetcar at Union Station and get a great tour through downtown KC and get off here! If you REALLY want to check out the Farmer's Market, it runs on Saturdays, so you could potentially check it out before our wedding!

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

4525 Oak Street, Kansas City, MO 64111
, (816) 751-1278

When Thamara invited Rohit to KC for the first time ever (back in 2015!), she took him here. Whether you go inside or not, you must check out this museum! Unique sculptures on the grounds and beautiful walking trails around (get yo steps in Sunday post Indian feasts)!

Made in KC Marketplace

Made in KC Marketplace

306 West 47th Street, Kansas City, MO 64112
, (816) 718-0806

A great place to get some local KC/midwest crafts, clothing, souvenirs, and food! Is it a clothing store, a gift shop, a bar, a food hall?!?!? Honestly, we just go sometimes to hang out and kill time. While you're here, check out the beautiful Country Club Plaza (you may feel like you're walking through Seville-its sister town)!

National WWI Museum and Memorial

National WWI Museum and Memorial

2 Memorial Drive, Kansas City, MO 64108
, (816) 888-8100

A pretty cool museum and offers the most stunning view of the city! #pics

Waldo

Waldo

Kansas City, MO 64114

T&Ro's most frequented neighborhood. 15 minutes south of downtown, but so worth it. Home to KC Bier Co (get the MaioMai Bock-if available!), Waldo Pizza (pesto chick'n, YAS), Waldo Thai (so authentic), McLain's (our wedding cake!), Boru Ramen (slurp), and the OG Betty Rae's (get an ice cream sandwich!)!

Pawn and Pint

Pawn and Pint

613 Walnut Street, Kansas City, MO 64106
, (816) 701-9227

We love board games, and this place has them all! $5 gets you unlimited play, and they offer many beer and drink offerings!

Hi Hat Coffee

Hi Hat Coffee

5012 State Line Road, Westwood Hills, KS 66205
, (913) 722-5000

Cutest little coffee shop in the area. A must go. Blended bee or the chai latte or anything else on their menu won't disappoint you!
