Bromley Mountain
For those staying at the Bromley Sun Lodge, the Alpine Slide is an easy and very fun activity and the Adventure Park is a great place for the whole family.
Lowell Lake State Park
Lowell Lake is a special place to us. Many of our friends have spent lazy summer afternoons swimming there or walking the 3-mile path around the lake. It’s also where Rohan proposed to Joe!
West River Farmers Market
The West River Farmers Market is one of our favorite places to visit in the summer. It features local produce, crafts, food vendors, and live music. We highly recommend visiting on Saturday (9 am - 1 pm), and we’ll be there too!
SoLo Farm & Table
SoLo is one of the best farm-to-table restaurants in Vermont and a place that has meant a lot to us. We’ve celebrated several special occasions there, and it captures the essence of Vermont dining (i.e., seasonal ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and a relaxed countryside atmosphere).
Appalachian Trail
Several access points to the Appalachian Trail are located nearby. Even walking a short section offers beautiful forest views and a chance to experience one of the most iconic hiking trails in the world.
Dorset Marble Quarry
This historic marble quarry is a beautiful swimming hole and one of Vermont’s hidden gems. It’s been used for swimming for over a century and offers clear water and scenic surroundings.
Depot 62 Café Restaurant
In the market for a Turkish rug? Looking for a new couch? Are you also hungry for some delicious, comforting Turkish food? Depot 62 Cafe has it all. The food is truly incredible, and it's randomly located in Manchester, VT.
Taylor Farm
Taylor Farm is a working farm, where you can walk around freely, see animals, and purchase delicious, locally-made cheeses. It’s a relaxed and authentic Vermont farm experience.
Ye Olde Tavern
Dating back to 1790, Ye Olde Tavern is one of the oldest restaurants in Vermont. It’s cozy, historic, and serves incredible bread with maple butter. You can sit outside on the porch and take-in the beauty or sit inside the cozy interior.
JJ Hapgood General Store & Eatery
This historic Vermont general store is full of charm in a tiny village. You’ll find locally made goods and excellent pizza and beer.
The Vermont Country Store Weston
If Vermont had a fever dream curated by a nostalgic New England grandmother, it would be the Vermont Country Store. This place has everything (*Insert Stefon from SNL Voice*)... maple syrup aged like fine whiskey, aggressively cozy flannel shirts, hand-poured soaps that smell like a forest after a summer rain shower, obscure candies from a time when arsenic was viewed as good for your gut, and Christmas ornaments in July. It’s part museum, part general store, part time portal.
North Meadow Farm
North Meadow Farm offers farm tours, where you can interact with and feed the animals (About $12-15). It’s a peaceful and joyful experience, especially if you're in need of some animal therapy.
Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home
Hildene was the home of Robert Todd Lincoln, Abraham Lincoln’s only surviving son. The estate features beautiful gardens, walking trails, and a small goat farm, where you can purchase fresh goat cheese made on site. It’s a peaceful and fascinating place to visit.
HONEYPIE
HoneyPie is a fantastic burger joint in a refurbished gas station. They have excellent milkshakes (try the Maple one!) and honey pies as well.
Manchester Designer Outlets
Manchester offers a charming village setting with a collection of outlet stores, from clothing to outdoor gear. It’s an easy and pleasant place to spend an afternoon browsing and walking around.
Lasser Ceramics
Lasser Ceramics creates beautiful, handmade pottery inspired by Vermont’s natural landscape. It’s a wonderful place to find a meaningful keepsake or gift and support local artisans.
