Know Before You Go
Getting around Sint Maarten is simple and stress-free. Taxis are easy to find and typically cost between $10 to $30, with the airport to the resort usually around $15 and a trip to Phillipsburg closer to $25. If you prefer exploring on your own, renting a car is a great option. Rates usually run about $40 to $80 per day, and most attractions are only a quick 5 to 25 minute drive. The roads are easy to navigate, so it’s a comfortable way to see more of the island. As for activities, the island is full of them. With both a Dutch and French side, each area has its own charm, culture, and adventures. You’ll find everything from jet skis and rum tours to local markets and beautiful beaches. And if you’d rather stay close to home, there’s plenty to enjoy right at the all-inclusive resort too.
