If you know Roger, you know he loves pizza, and this place has stolen his heart. Highly recommend making a stop here if you can! If the weather is nice, put your name in and grab a drink next door while you wait.
Best known for having goats grazing atop the roof, but also a great breakfast or lunch spot for those looking for a hearty meal. Even if you don't stop in, make sure to walk by and see if you're lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the famous goats!
Top pick for a fun night out on the town with good bar food and live music in their outdoor space.
For a great day outdoors, head to Peninsula State Park, the gem of Wisconsin's many state parks! There are several bike rentals right near the park entrance in Fish Creek, miles of trails for hiking and biking for all levels, and some great beaches to cool off in Lake Michigan! Perfect for some exercise or a family picnic.
Basically one of Door County's landmarks! Not necessarily the best ice cream in the Door, but you have to go to say you've at least been there once! And there is a beautiful harbor in Ephraim with lots of options for renting kayaks, paddle boats, pontoon boats, etc. right across from the ice cream parlor.
The most beautiful spot to catch a drink and the sunset directly overlooking the water.
A hidden gem that we highly recommend for anyone who wants to experience history in Door County, while enjoying a top notch meal and deliciously crafted cocktails.
Take a drive north on Hwy 42 to Ellison Bay. Look for the sign before you enter town for the county park and follow the signs from there. This trail is perfect for those who want a bit of hiking but aren't looking for a rigorous or long hike. There's a beautiful overlook there you should experience as well.
If you're looking for a great Friday Fish Fry (a tradition in Wisconsin) head to the Sister Bay Bowl. There will be a wait but the perch is worth it! Actually you can get the fish any night of the week so that's a bonus! And there really is a bowling alley inside as well!
This park on the east side of the peninsula is the only formally designated wilderness park in the state. There are 11 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and the trails here are a quieter alternative to the busy Peninsula State Park. Bring your compass here as some of us have been known to get just a little bit lost at times!
There are 11 lighthouses in Door County with a favorite being the Cana Island lighthouse. This was opened in 1869 and you can climb the 97 step spiral staircase to the gallery deck if you are feeling ambitious. You will be rewarded with spectacular views of Lake Michigan.
If you are looking to spend time browsing art galleries, there are plenty of them in Door County. Since there are too many to list, we suggest you check out Trip Advisor or similar sites for more information.
If golf is your game, there are several courses in Door County. Two favorites are the Peninsula State Park course in Ephraim and The Orchards in Egg Harbor.
