We recognize that we are still navigating the pandemic. The most important thing is for everyone to feel healthy and safe. With that being said, we completely understand if you’re not comfortable attending. Without health we have nothing so please do not feel obligated to attend if you’re not comfortable. We love all of you and it’s our wish for you to do what feels right in your heart, even if that means declining. We will not be upset or offended. We respect you, your wishes and doing what is right for you and your family.

Where do I park?

Answer

Street parking is free in downtown San Diego on Sundays. There are also parking lots in which you may pay for parking should you prefer to do so. If you wish, you may park in self parking at the Symphony Towers for $12/hour (maximum of $33 for 3+ hours). Self parking is located on 7th Ave. From B Street turn right onto 7th Ave. The parking garage entrance on the right. Park on floors 8-11, take Freight elevator to the "G" ground floor, check in with security, they will give you access to the 34th floor. Are children invited?

Answer

While we love all of the children in our lives, we decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults and young adults only event, with the exception of immediate family and the wedding party.

May I bring a guest to the wedding?

Answer

To maintain our wishes of a small intimate celebration, we are only able to accommodate guests named on the invite. Thank you for understanding.

Our wedding hashtag is #RodriguezHawkins2021. Please tag social media posts and photos so we may enjoy them as well.

Where will the ceremony and reception take place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will take place at The University Club Atop Symphony Towers in downtown San Diego. We will have the entire 34th floor for our special day.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony and reception will take place indoors at the same location.

What hotels are in the area?

Answer

For those who are interested in overnight accommodations, there are two hotels we are working with to block rooms. Please see the "Hotels" tab for more information.

When will I receive a formal invitation?

Answer

Invitations have been mailed. You will be directed to RSVP online. Please let Kent Martel or Maritza know if you experience any challenges with RSVPs. To maintain our wishes of a small intimate celebration, we are only able to accommodate guests named on the invite. Thank you for understanding.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are requesting an unplugged wedding ceremony. Please have phones on silent and put away during the ceremony to allow our photographer to capture our special day. During the reception, yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels. Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #RodriguezHawkins2021 so we can keep track of all of your pictures. Thank you!

What is the attire?

Cocktail Attire: Cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, suits, dark jackets and slacks.

We will cover a portion of beverages; thereafter, it will convert into a cash bar.

Wishing Well details?

Answer

As you may know, we purchased our first home together in 2019. We have all we need in our nest which is why we only ask for your presence and love. However, we’ve been receiving questions about gifts. If you wish to leave a gift, we would be honored with a small contribution to our 2022 honeymoon fund. We've received inquiries regarding how to make contributions. A card box will be made available on the day of the wedding.
