We’re getting married!

On the Friday after Thanksgiving on November 28, 2014. Martel and Maritza had no idea the plans God had to forever change their lives when He united these two souls. Maritza attended a dinner with one of her friends in San Diego. Before leaving, Martel fashionably joined and sat next to Maritza. He complimented her boots then she left. Upon doing so, Maritza said to her friend, “I like your coworker’s style.” The next day Maritza's friend shared with Martel what Maritza said about him. Martel gave his phone number to her to give to Maritza. From that day, these two have been inseparable. The following March, Martel asked Maritza to meet his daughters as he knew she was special and would be in his life a long time. Maritza commuted from Costa Mesa, Orange County, until she graduated with her master’s degree. In 2017, she moved to San Diego and started her life with Martel and Gabrielle. In 2018, he proposed and they purchased their first home together in 2019. Exactly seven years and seven days later, on November 21, 2021, they will marry.
