Things To Do

We absolutely love the Tampa Bay area and are so excited to share it with all of you - our favorite people traveling from near and far. Whether you're staying for a few days or turning it into a long weekend, St. Petersburg has something for everyone: sunshine, art, great food, and beautiful beaches. Here are some great local spots and must-do activities.

Spots to Explore

St. Pete Beach: Consistently ranked one of the best beaches in the country. Soft sand, clear water, and gorgeous sunsets. St. Pete Pier: A must-see landmark right on the waterfront, the newly renovated St. Pete Pier offers stunning views, walking paths, public art, a playground, and several dining options. It’s a great spot to relax, take photos, or grab a bite after exploring downtown. The pier is just a short walk from NOVA 535! Vinoy Park: A scenic spot along the waterfront—perfect for a morning walk or relaxing picnic. Sunken Gardens: A hidden gem with lush tropical plants, flamingos, and winding garden paths. The Dali Museum: Explore the surreal world of Salvador Dalí in one of the most unique museums in the U.S. Central Avenue: A lively strip of shops, cafes, murals, and boutiques. Great for strolling and people-watching. Saturday Morning Market (if you're arriving early!): Local food, artists, and live music—held every Saturday morning in downtown St. Pete.

Local Food and Drinks

The Lure St. Pete: A vibrant spot offering sushi, tapas, tacos, and flatbreads, complemented by tiki cocktails and a pet-friendly patio. The Library: A cozy, book-themed brunch spot with great coffee and cocktails. Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille: Waterfront dining with island-inspired dishes and a killer mojito. Bavaro’s: A beloved spot for authentic Italian eats with a lively, family-friendly atmosphere. 3 Daughters Brewing: A local brewery offering a variety of craft beers in a relaxed setting. Red Mesa Cantina: Blends Latin and Caribbean kitchen traditions to create a menu of exquisite ceviches, tacos, and small plate classics.

Bonus: Gasparilla in Tampa

Bayshore Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33602

If you're arriving early, Tampa's legendary Gasparilla Pirate Festival takes place on Saturday, January 31, 2026 - just across the bay! It's a high-energy parade and street party full of pirates, beads, and fun. Great for adventurous guests looking for a unique Florida experience. Heads-up: Because of Gasparilla, hotel prices and flights may be higher than normal that weekend, so we recommend booking your travel as early as possible.
