We're getting married!

It all started in April of 1992... no, really. We were born just four days apart on opposite sides of the country, unknowingly living very similar lives in completely different places. Fast forward to 2021: Jenny had moved back to Tampa after a long-term relationship, ready for a fresh start, while Richard had just arrived to begin physical therapy school and was hoping to meet new people in a brand-new city. Thanks to God’s perfect timing, and a little help from the dating app Hinge, we found each other. Richard kicked things off with a corny Forrest Gump joke (which, to Jenny’s surprise, actually worked), and on August 13, 2021, we met for tacos and margaritas at Bar Taco in Hyde Park. What was supposed to be a quick first date turned into a five-hour conversation - the start of something neither of us saw coming, but both of us instantly felt. Each date that followed revealed more uncanny similarities, endless laughter, and a shared love for making the most of life, showing up for our people, and enjoying really good food. Lots of it. Whether it's jumping out of airplanes, enjoying slow Sunday coffee, trying new recipes or restaurants, spending quality time with Max, watching Survivor, dancing like fools, going to Costco, competing in anything and everything, or flying and driving to visit our favorite people all over the country, some of our best moments have been simply doing life together. On January 4, 2025, Richard took Jenny to one of her favorite spots in downtown Tampa and proposed - complete with a photographer waiting in the distance. As if that wasn’t enough of a surprise, some of our closest family and friends were waiting to celebrate at another one of our favorite places, Armature Works. These last few years have been such an incredible journey, and we’re so excited to begin this next season of life with some of our favorite people there to share in the joy.
