Best Man
I've known Andy for roughly 13 years. We met through a work buddy of mine and we instantly became friends. We would see each other at parties and spend most of the night laughing while others would say "I don't get what's so funny." After a couple times seeing him at parties, he said "you're like my best friend I rarely hang out with." So, we started hanging out more! After I sold my townhouse in 2015, he opened his house to me while I looked for a new house. Well, I lived there for 5 years. He's been there for me through thick and thin and is truly a best friend!
Matron of Honor
Rachelle and I met during college, where honestly, we got off to a bit of a rocky start! Ha! However, once we finally realized how alike we were and how much fun we had together, we quickly became close. Since then, so much laughter, and so many fun shenanigans have taken place. She has continued to support me unconditionally through good times and bad, and I am proud to call her my bestie. I'm so honored to have her standing beside me when I marry my person!
Groomsman
Tim has been a part of my life for about 34 years. We were friends before 1st grade then his family moved to New Hampshire for about 5 years. We stayed in touch by sending letters back and forth, then he moved back at the end of 4th grade. We then played on the same baseball team that summer and became life-long friends. To this day, we see each other weekly for our "Nerd Night" where he, Dustin (the other Groomsman) and myself play board games. I feel lucky to have a friend who's been around since the very beginning. I wouldn't think of not having him as part of my wedding!
Bridesmaid
Carissa and I have known each other for 25+ years. Both growing up in Bloomington, we played many years of BAA softball together, and then continued our friendship into high school and beyond. We've become even closer over the last few years, and she has continued to be there for me no matter what. Carissa is one of my very best friends and I couldn't imagine celebrating our big day without her!
Groomsman
Dustin has been a friend since 1st grade. We attended St. Dominic's school until middle school, so we were in the same class for about six and a half years. We played sports together, spent a good portion of our time playing video games, and he was the one who really introduced me to those "nerdy" board games as kids that started "Nerd Night" many years later. Like Tim, it's great having a childhood friend continue into adulthood where we still hang out frequently and laugh until we can't breathe.
Bridesmaid
My friendship with Sarah began back in high school when we were in choir together, and also had mutual friends who we both spent time with frequently. In the more recent years we've created some of the best memories together...countless girls' nights, festivities with our trivia crew, and multiple vacations to name just a few. She is someone I can always rely on, and I'm lucky to be able to call her one of my closest friends. Can't wait to say "I Do" with her standing next to me!!
Officiant
Jerry, or Bear, as I know him has been a good friend of mine for over 10 years now. I met him about the same time as I met Andy and the three of us have been thick as thieves for the last 5-6 years when I was living with Andy. Jerry has the biggest heart of anyone I know and will do anything for his friends and family. When Sara and I were thinking of people who could potentially officiate our wedding, Jerry immediately came to mind. We are so excited to have him be part of our day!
