Bridesmaid Marissa took my freshly, 21 year old self (Katie) to a local bar called Boston's. Boston's was known for their busy Industry Nights on Tuesdays in the summer. She introduced me to Rocky & Best Man Deonte, who were already at the bar with some other friends. We got along right away! He was so funny...and cute! He had just moved into a new apartment & asked if I could help decorate it, so I saved my name in his phone as "Katie My Decorator." (It stayed like that for years haha) Photos were taken that night, find them in the photos section!

I (Katie) lived with my two best friends, Bridesmaid Ashley and Cousin of Honor Kattie, hence K-A-K. We decided we needed an upgrade and started to look for a house to rent. We had been scrolling on Zillow for days and working with real estate agents, still no luck. Less than one week left before our apartment lease was up, Kattie found a house on Wedgewood Dr. in Sterling Heights and it was PERFECT! 10 HOUSES DOWN THE STREET FROM ROCKY'S HOUSE! WHAT UP NEIGHBOR BOY?! (: Needless to say, 2 years later, we were reconnected at one of our many KAK parties.

I (Katie) spontaneously booked a cruise for about 9 months in advance. This would be Rocky's first cruise and I was so excited to plan our adventure. Little did I know, Rocky had done some planning of his own. We had just gotten back on the ship from one of the best excursions I have ever experienced. (We went cave diving, it was insane!) After we got dressed and ready, we took some super cute photos on the way to dinner.(see in photos section!) During dinner the waitstaff began their nightly entertainment performance. The head server started singing "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran (I LOVE THAT SONG!) Other couples began getting up from their seats and dancing. Even though I knew Rocky doesn't like to dance, I asked him anyways. He said no, haha. Not even 10 seconds go by, he changes his mind and he asks me to dance, for real! Once the song was over, he took me completely by surprise, got down on one knee & PROPOSED! Well duuuhuhhh, of course I wanted to be this man's wife! YES! ...And then I said we had to retake the photos because we were ENGAGED now (see in photo section!)
