Go for a walk around Shem Creek and listen to some live music! Check out water’s edge cabana bar (where our surprise engagement party was) and take a walk on the boardwalk through the marsh. By the way, you can walk with your drinks on the boardwalk! There are a ton of restaurants to eat right on the water. One of our favorite restaurants is actually on the other side of Shem Creek called Mill Street Tavern. They have a rooftop too and it's right on the marsh. It is one of the best views in Charleston, but hasn't really been found out yet. They always have reservations open on Resy.
Go to the beach and check out the Sullivan’s Island lighthouse. Our favorite station is 18 1/2 (where we got engaged).
If you are staying at one of our hotels, you'll be in the middle of Daniel Island. They have lots of parks and walkable restaurants around. There is New Realm Brewery that has great food and regularly has live bands on the weekends. There is Kingtide restaurant that actually has a rooftop that has great drinks and appetizers right on the water. There is a boardwalk park right beside it too. Beech has great acai bowls and wraps. Blondies is a great bagels and coffee shop. Orlandos pizza is really good.
Go walk the bridge! One of our first dates was going to brunch and walking the bridge. Note: there are no bathrooms at the top of the bridge.
Go check out the Battery and Rainbow Row. Bring a blanket and pick up a sub from Publix and have a picnic in White Point Gardens.
There's lots to do on king street and downtown! Shopping, site seeing, rooftop hopping (Citrus Club, Ritual, Vendue). Some of our favorite downtown restaurants are Park and Grove, The Rarebit, Hometeam, Baker and Brewer, and Rancho Lewis.
