We met online in 2020, not long after Gracie had moved to Oregon following her high school graduation. Rocket was living nearby, and after a few messages back and forth, we decided to meet in person for our first date... on a hike up Upper Table Rock. Looking back, it may not have been the most traditional (or easiest) first date idea, but it worked out pretty well for us! Soon after, we started spending more time together and eventually lived together briefly before setting off on our first big adventure, saving up and moving to Austin, Texas, where we spent two unforgettable years building a life together. From there, we moved again, this time to Montana, trading city life for snowy mountains and quiet mornings. In 2024, we found ourselves back in Oregon, full circle in a way, and in 2025, Rocket proposed during a hike back up that very same Upper Table Rock hike where it all began. Needless to say, that hike will always hold a special place in our hearts.
