Peter and Rochelle met in 2017 and we had the most amazing first date at a hip cocktail bar in the Mission District of San Francisco. We were both smitten with the other person after the date and wanted to get to know each other better but the universe had other plans. In the days and weeks after our first date, Peter's mother got sick and passed away and Rochelle was inspired to move to Barcelona to chase her dreams and we lost contact. Several years passed before the stars aligned once more when Rochelle moved back to San Francisco and we matched on the same dating app we had met on years earlier. Rochelle immediately remembered Peter from the date and asked if we had met before but Peter didn't remember at first. All of a sudden, memories of the date came back to him and he asked her out for our second first date with each other, which would end up being the last first date either of us would ever go on.
Did Peter accidentally send Rochelle a screenshot of a text that mentioned exactly how, when and where he was planning to propose the day before he was planning to propose? Yes Was Peter absolutely mortified for ruining the surprise when this happened? Also yes. Did Peter and Rochelle let this ruin the proposal? Absolutely not! Peter got down on 1 knee while Rochelle was brushing her teeth before bed that night and popped the question so it was still a surprise and was thrilled when she said yes!
