Matt went to undergrad at the University of Wisconsin - Madison and met a friend named Temi. They lived together for all four years of undergrad. After undergrad, Matt started his engineering career in Chicago and Temi went to the University of Maryland to become a pharmacist. Jenna was also a pharmacy student at Maryland and became friends with Temi. After graduation, the two of them moved to California and split a 2-bedroom apartment. Matt always had a thing for the west coast, and he missed his buddy Temi, so he flew to visit in January 2016. Jenna's thought when Temi said a friend was staying with them was, "Great, another visitor. This guy has too many friends." Jenna came home from work that night and was introduced to Matt and both knew right away -- this wasn't "just another friend of Temi's." We talked and laughed together all weekend, and by the end of it, Jenna, who had never gone camping in her life, was set to join us on a four-day river rafting trip in the Utah backcountry. Add to that a trip to Minnesota (where exactly is Minnesota on the map? she asked) for even more time together. Meanwhile, Matt started applying to jobs in California so their story didn't have to be written from across the country. He moved to California in August 2016 and we've been in love ever since.
