It all started July 2023 when Robyn and Matt attended a dinner for young Jewish professionals. Matt sat next to someone he’d never met, Lauren, who would later become a close friend, while Robyn sat at the opposite end of the table with her cousins, Evan and Maryn. A couple of weeks later, both Robyn and Matt were invited to the Young Jewish Professionals flagship event, the “White Party.” Before the event, they attended a pregame at Lauren’s place, which gave them a chance to talk. They continued chatting throughout the night but there was a bit of a mix-up at the bar. Robyn got her drink first, and Matt told her she didn’t need to wait for him. (In Matt’s defense he thought she was seeing someone else). A few months later, Robyn and Matt spotted each other on JSwipe and figured the universe was trying to bring them together. Their first date included poke in Capitol Hill, a piano bar, and plenty of conversation. After a few dates, Robyn invited Matt over for homemade hibachi. It was there he met Rocky (Robyn’s dog) for the first time, right as Rocky swiped a raw chicken breast off the counter. From there, Robyn and Matt began building their life together. They moved in together in Westminster, adopted a second dog (Boulder), and eventually got engaged. Now, they’re excited to make things official in Estes Park this May and celebrate with all the people they love most!
