The boardwalk is over 2 miles long and goes from 1st street to 26th street. Primary commercial area is from 6th street to 14th street. There’s loads of restaurants, shops, miniature golf, escape rooms, etc so take a stroll on the boards. No dogs are allowed on the beach or boardwalk.
Ocean City has a small downtown area for shops, restaurants, and personal services. There’s a few public parking lots but plan on tight parking for Memorial Day parking. Consider parking in the lots across from the Ocean City high school which is located between the boardwalk and downtown areas.
If you want to go out to a bar or have an alcoholic drink at a restaurant, head back over the bridge to Somers Point. There are a number of bars and restaurants in the area.
Enjoy the historic Victorian architecture along with shopping and restaurants. Cape May is the southernmost point of New Jersey and also has a lighthouse and whale watching boat tours.
Want to rent a kayak or skidoo? There’s a few water sports rental places including fishing excursions. Head to Bay Avenue around 3rd Street.
Atlantic City has lots of casinos, bars, shopping and dining. There’s also an outlet center.
