Travel Note
Since our wedding occurs over the "peak leaf change season", lodging for that weekend is in high demand. Weaverville itself is a small town about 20 minutes north of Asheville. The majority of the lodging options are in Asheville. If you're having trouble finding accommodation, consider looking in the surrounding towns such as Mars Hill, Black Mountain, Woodfin, Candler, and Arden- all within a 20 to 40 minute drive of the venue.

There are lots of campgrounds in the area if you are the type that tends to prefer sleeping without a roof blocking your view of the stars. :) This one is near where the Humphreys and van Vuurens will be staying for the weekend!
Flight
For those of you flying in for the wedding, the nearest airport is Asheville Regional Airport, 9 miles south of downtown Asheville. Given that it's small, it is likely the most expensive airport to fly into... The two main international airports in NC are Charlotte Douglas International (CLT) and Raleigh Durham International (RDU). Charlotte's airport is approximately a 2 hour drive from downtown Asheville, while the trip from RDU will take about 4 hours. There are many rental car options from each airport. If we know your travel details ahead of time, we are happy to try to help coordinate rides! The cheapest international flights we've found into the States arrive in Washington, D.C. (Dulles- IAD) and New York (JFK). Depending on your travel preferences and itinerary, you could rent a car from there, book a domestic flight, or take public transport via the 'Megabus' which has daily bus trips from NYC and Washington, D.C. to Durham and Charlotte.
