Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as you are able. We would like to know how many guests to expect by May 15th, 2020

Where should we stay before the wedding?

Answer

We will be staying in the town of Ericeira, and we highly recommend you do, too, for at least the day before and day of the wedding. There are loads of lodges, hotels and Airbnbs in the Ericeira area and you'll just have to take your pick. Note: you don't need a car, if you don't plan on doing significant adventuring.

What should we expect the day of the wedding?

Answer

The wedding will be on June 24th, 2020 at Quinta de Sant'ana. The ceremony will begin at 4:30PM, but feel to arrive earlier for refreshments, and to wander the gorgeous grounds. Post-ceremony there will be a cocktail hour and wine tasting, with dinner starting at 7:00PM. The rest of the evening will be music and dancing, wedding cake and a cheese spread, and everything will wind down around 1:30AM. Luckily, we, and the majority of guests, will be jet-lagged, so there will be less of a chance we'll be asleep by 9:30PM, as is the norm for us these days! We plan to dance until the end! 🎉 That said, if you are tired, and need to retire early for any reason, you are more than welcome to.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We will be arranging a shuttle to and from the venue from Ericeira for guests. The shuttle will pickup and drop off from a central location in Ericeira. We will have more specific information about this closer to the date. Of course, you are free to grab a taxi or drive yourself, but just be aware the roads up to the venue are narrow and winding. When are Robin and Emma arriving in Portugal?

We are planning to arrive on the 19th of June, 2020. We will be hanging out in Ericeira and Gradil (where we will be for most of the wedding activities) We plan to take off on our honeymoon on June 26th!

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal: Suits, gowns and cocktail dresses are welcome.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests can arrive at Quinta de Sant'ana as early as 3:30 or 4:00. The ceremony will begin at 4:30.

What wedding related events do I need to be aware of?

Answer

We are going to be hosting a post-wedding beach day and lunch on June 25th, for those who are planning to be in the area and want to attend, at Praia da Foz do Lizandro on the south end of Ericeira. There are a few lunch options (a vegan spot, and varied lunch options spots) If you are in the mood to try it out, there's even a surf school with lessons and rentals. :)

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The wedding venue is located in Gradil, Portugal; a unique micro climate where nights are cool, mornings are misty and afternoons are hot. Average temps in June are highs of 23C/73F and lows of 15C/59F. So we recommend bringing something to cover up with in the evenings.
