Travel Note

Overview

You'll find general guidance for logistics and lodging below. If coming from NYC, we highly recommend using the Metro North train. If coming from New England area, unfortunately there's not a convenient train connection outside of connecting via NYC, so driving or flying may be a better option. Both our hotel and the venue have ample, free, onsite parking.

Hotel

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Peekskill-Lower Hudson Valley, an IHG Hotel

2 John Walsh Boulevard, Peekskill, NY 10566

This hotel is a short walk from the venue (~10 min). Ample free parking is available at the hotel parking lot. Don't forget to use our discounted wedding block to book - the "View" button below will directly lead you to use it. Note the block requires a minimum 2 night stay (Fri and Sat night). Alternatively, there are several other hotels in the area (a summary: https://zola.hotelplanner.com/EventPage7863400), or Airbnb/VRBO is always an option.

Train

Metro North Railroad from NYC

The Metro-North train from Grand Central is our preferred way to get to Peekskill from NYC via the Hudson line in just over an hour. Please note that from the station, the wedding venue is about a 25 min walk and the hotel is about a 20 min walk. Uber should be available, but you may need to wait a few minutes to get your driver. On Saturdays, this train runs once an hour in the morning/early afternoon and twice an hour later in the afternoon (4pm onward). The last train back to NYC departs Peekskill at 12:40am, if you are so inclined! The Google Maps walking directions will take you the LONG way around the town, do not follow those. From the arrivals platform, cross over the tracks via the bridge to walk towards the water (west) then find the walkway heading south. This will lead to a boardwalk that will connect back to the road leading to the hotel and venue. Basically, follow the green arrow in this picture: https://photos.app.goo.gl/zzxnd94idcks5oEv9 NOTE on train schedule: There has been some confusion on the last train back to NYC. While through September the last train departing Peekskill on Saturdays is at 11:40pm, starting in October there is an additional train that leaves at 12:40am Saturday night (aka Sunday morning) - click "View" below for details.

Flight

LGA, JFK, EWR

Any of the three major NYC area airports will work, and generally are all within a 2 hour drive from the venue, barring unusual traffic. LGA is closest and usually the best for domestic flights. We recommend you check Southwest in addition to the major carriers, as they use LGA as a hub.
