What does a traditional Vietnamese/Chinese wedding look like?

What should I wear? What is the dress code? Are there colors to avoid?

Answer

Semi-Formal/Cocktail. For men: Suit, and dress shirt, tie optional. For Women: Cocktail dress or floor length dress. Red should be avoided as it is a color reserved for the couple and the wedding party in our culture.

How far is the ceremony away from the reception?

Answer

2.3 miles.

Is the wedding indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Daily temperatures range between 65-85 degrees during the summer. Expect humidity!

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

The deadline is June 5th. Please respond by mail. If you do not respond by June 5th, we'll contact you directly. Mild intimidation will result.

Answer

No, we're accepting Hongboa as gifts. Please refer to the Registry & Hongboa tab on our website for more information.

What is the wedding itinerary?

Answer

The church ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00 PM, please arrive a few minutes early. A break is scheduled after the church ceremony. Cocktail hour begins at 5:30 PM. Dinner and other festivities will follow.
