The patio at Nicklaus North is one of our favourites during the summer months. This is a glacier fed lakefront setting at the famous Nicklaus North Golf Course. Voted by many as Whistler's best outdoor summer patio. There are numerous other outdoor patios dotted throughout the village to enjoy as well. Some of these are dog friendly but best to check online first.

There are a variety of child friendly activities in Whistler both indoors and outdoors. Please see some of the best recommendations in the link. The Whistler visitor centre is also a great place to get some ideas. They have created a summer scavenger hunt for all kids to help increase their interaction with the environment. You can pick up a printed copy from the visitor centre. Please also feel free to reach out to us with any specific requests/questions. There are a number of beautiful lakes around Whistler which are magical in Summer. Many have food trucks outside during summer. Feel free to bring or rent a paddle board or kayak and enjoy Whistler's beautiful lakes. Many are dog friendly. Our dog Patsy loves going to Canine Cove and Barking Bay in the summer months :)

There are so many hiking trails around Whistler including the Valley Trail which connects Whistler. All trails is an excellent resource for hikes. If you are keen to do the Joffrey Lakes hike, this does book out extremely quickly. Reservations are required but there is no cost. Reservations open at 7 am 2 days before and sell out within minutes. Reservations are also required for the Garibaldi National Park which is stunning. Bear spray is recommended for hiking during the summer months. You can rent this at Whistler Hardware Store or buy some in many shops.

The Whistler bike park is hugely popular in summer. There are also numerous biking trails around the village and surrounding areas. For those looking for a more relaxed option, you can rent E-bikes at various locations throughout Whistler through the EVO app. If you are into mountain biking, the world famous Crankworks festival falls over our wedding weekend this year in Whistler.
