Norfolk Airport, Virginia Beach

The closest airport to fly in for the events is Norfolk Airport in VA Beach. Then, car rentals are available and the drive would be another 3 hours south to Buxton.

Driving Options

While the drive to Buxton is long, it is beautiful. The Reilly's have been doing this drive since Jules was born (a 12 hour trek if you can believe it.) If you plan to make the drive and have a 4x4 vehicle, we recommend bringing it because the beaches allow off-roading. Permits are required but are available through the Cape Hatteras National Park Service.
