Travel Note
Most cell phones don’t work here so write this down! Take Hwy 64 to the Lewisburg exit. That is 219 or Seneca Trail. Exiting south will take you into Lewisburg. Exiting north will take you to Pocahontas county. Travel North on 219 for about 30 miles. You will go through Renick. You will climb Droop Mountain and see the sign for Pocahontas Co and Beartown State Park. The road will flatten out and after a mile or so you will see a tractor crossing sign and a street sign for Lobelia Road that only goes left. Take that left. If you see Droop Mountain Battlefield park you have just passed it. If you start going downhill again you have just passed it. Follow Lobelia Rd until you get to the Yew Mountain Center. It is a very windy, narrow road. If another car is coming towards you, slow down and get half way off the road. I am not kidding. To get to Hillsboro or Watoga, pass the turn for Lobelia and continue down the mountain on 219. Just follow the road and it will take you into Hillsboro.
Flight
We have a wonderful small airport very close to us! United airlines flies here directly from Chicago and DC most days. The airport is five minutes north of Lewisburg and about 35 minutes south of Hillsboro.
Train
Our closest Amtrak station is in White Sulphur Springs, about 15 minutes from Lewisburg and about an hour from Hillsboro.

This is our wedding venue! You are welcome to bring camping gear and set up at the Yew Mountain Center anytime during the last week in May. Last year it was quite hot, but we never know how the weather will be! There is a lovely swimming pond and a couple hundred acres of woods and mountains to explore. Toilets and showers are available as well as a kitchen, though you are also welcome to bring cooking equipment or cook over a fire. We have some camping equipment available for those who are flying in.
Hotel
This is a gorgeous historical hotel owned by friends of ours! They also own the best restaurant in Downtown Lewisburg, the Stardust Cafe (farm to table fine dining in a casual atmosphere). My first recommendation if you prefer to stay in Lewisburg. Lewisburg is about 45-50 minutes south of the Yew Mountain Center. We will have a shuttle to this location for the Welcome dinner and the wedding.

There are several Air Bnb houses in Hillsboro which can house up to 8 people. Both are around 200/night for the entire house. They would be the closest, most affordable option for people who have a group or dont mind staying with a group of new friends. Look them up on airbnb or contact Ginny for more info. If you do book one, please let them know you are coming to our wedding in case I had spoken to them about reserving the house. About 15 minutes from the Yew Mountain Center

Charming log cabins built by the CCC in the 30’s. Small cabins for 2 people around 100/night up to 8 people for 219/night total. Pets welcome. These cabins are very spaced out along the road into beautiful Watoga State Park. About a twenty minutes or half hour from the Yew Mountain Center.
Hotel
Eccentric bed and breakfast in Hillsboro, very close to all the happenings. Friendly innkeepers. Fifteen minutes from the Yew Mountain Center.
Hotel
Very conveniently located directly off the interstate for those nervous about getting lost. Decent continental breakfast. About 40 minutes south of the Yew Mountain Center.
