In this small park, under this beautiful tree, we officially became husband and wife. We wish you all could have been there, but are absolutely thrilled to get to see you all this year and really celebrate!
Blue Starlite Mini Urban Drive In
Our first date was at a drive-in outside of Dallas and we are so happy to have our own special spot in Austin! Blue Starlite has expanded to 5 screens and several locations around the Austin area for both traditional car and laid-back walk-in shows. With classics from the 80s, 90s, and today like Princess Bride, Goonies, Jurrasic Park, and annual Harry Potter festivals, you can't go wrong with this throwback!
Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park
Our favorite park for hiking and the perfect spot for our engagement shoot! The trails are easy though occasionally muddy given the weather. Dogs can roam in the leash-free area (all the trails on the south end of the park) making this Gizmo's favorite place too. Plenty of wild flowers, trees, fields, and a beautiful creek. Playground and community swimming pool at the trailhead entrance. Baseball fields, a basketball court, and picnic areas on the north side of the park. Tons of parking.
Hope Floats location
Need we say more? This little town just so happens to be the location for the movie Hope Floats, starring Sandra Bullock and Harry Connick Jr. Talk about a romantic spot to visit!
McKinney Roughs Nature Park
Right in the middle of Austin and Smithville, you have this beauty of a park! With your usual options of hiking and picnics, this location also includes zip lining, horseback riding, guided tours, and group activities like kayaking and river rafting!
Pinballz Kingdom & Arcades
Pinballz has multiple locations: Pinballz Kingdom in Buda, complete with a draft biergarten, restaurant, and live music, and two arcade locations: one in north Austin, one northwest in Cedar Park. Plenty to do with pinball machines, laser tag, food, drinks, and more.
