We lived in the same dorm freshmen year of college at the University of Cincinnati. We were immediately drawn to each other and became close friends. There was a soul connection between us the moment we met. It was like the world knew we were meant to be together forever.

We went to Iceland in March 2020. Robert proposed when exploring the Thingvellir National Park in Reykjavík. It was absolutely perfect. Robert packed a portable tripod and managed to capture the most beautiful photo of the best moment in my life. We remember the snow sparkling and the moment feeling so peaceful. It felt as if we were the only people in the world standing in the rift valley between two tectonic plates. We managed to make it home to celebrate with our close family just in time before the world turned upside down.
