We kindly ask that you RSVP by July 9th. Your response helps us finalize details and make sure everything is just right for the big day. We can’t wait to celebrate together!
2707 Marine Drive, Bremerton, Washington 98312 The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be held at the Shiers family home, built in 1966 by Sylvia and Frank Shiers Sr. It’s a place filled with love and family history — Sarah’s parents were even married on the same lawn in 1995! This home means the world to Sarah, Robby, and our families, and we’re so excited to welcome you there to celebrate with us!
We kindly ask guests to wear cocktail attire. For women, this could be a midi or full-length dress or a jumpsuit. For men, please wear dress pants and a long-sleeve dress shirt; jackets and ties are optional but welcome. Our overall color palette includes darker tones, muted shades, and the occasional soft pastel, so we’d appreciate it if guests avoid bright colors or bold prints. It may be warm during the day and chillier in the evening, so please feel free to plan for the weather — your comfort is important to us.
Our ceremony is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM, but we’ll be opening our home to guests starting at 3:00 PM. We encourage guest to arrive no later than 3:45 PM to allow time to settle in before the celebration begins. If you’re traveling from Seattle, please keep an eye on ferry schedules and traffic to ensure a smooth arrival.
All wedding events — including the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception — will take place outdoors. Most of the celebration will be held on grass, so we kindly recommend avoiding stilettos or thin-heeled shoes. There will be paved and gravel paths throughout the property to help you get around comfortably.
Early August in the Seattle area is usually warm and sunny, with daytime highs in the 70s to low 80s — though it can occasionally get hotter. Our venue is a waterfront property, which means it may feel cooler in the evenings with a breeze off the water. We recommend keeping an eye on the forecast and bringing a light layer for the evening to stay comfortable.
We’ve done our best to make sure there’s something for everyone — including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. If you have a specific allergy or dietary need, feel free to let us know when you RSVP so we can be sure you're taken care of. We'll also be serving alcohol, along with a variety of non-alcoholic options throughout the evening.
We kindly ask that you join us in being fully present by keeping phones and cameras tucked away during the ceremony. We’ve hired a wonderful photographer to capture the moment beautifully, and we’ll be excited to share those photos with you afterward. Feel free to take as many pictures as you’d like before the ceremony, during cocktail hour, and throughout the reception!
We’re so grateful you’ll be joining us! As much as we’d love to include everyone, our wedding is a very intimate gathering held at the Shiers family home. Due to limited space, we’re only able to accommodate those specifically named on the invitation. We hope you understand and know how much we’re looking forward to celebrating with you.
We adore your little ones, but due to the intimate nature of our celebration, we’re only able to include children specifically named on the invitation. We hope you understand and truly appreciate your support as we create a meaningful gathering with our loved ones.
Yes, we recommend it. Bremerton doesn’t have as many rideshare or public transit options as Seattle, and the venue isn’t within walking distance of the ferry terminal. A rental car will make getting to and from the airport — and around the area — much easier. Parking will be available at the venue.
